Cheers! To new beginnings...

When I read Exodus 12:1-30, I wondered what lessons I would learn from the book. I had to read it over and over without rushing it to hear what God was saying to me. I definitely wasn't going to start roasting goats, but I yearned for a revelation.

God begins a very fresh celebration among Israelites. Their years of slavery were about to end.
Hurray!!!

Exodus 12:2 “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

For all of you who desperately long for a fresh new start...
For all of you who want to close a door and enter a new place...
For everyone longing to hear God a new way...

After 430 years of slavery God tells Israel to count their years a fresh and start a journey in freedom.
A new month, a new way of celebration, a time of freedom, a time of sharing God's doing in our lives. 

This is my prayer for you and I. That we will enter into this new phase God has set for us.

How Now?!

Ever asked God for something and sat back to try figure it out.  "So how will God do that? Maybe He will use my boss, maybe He will give me a job, maybe this or that? Well, we always do that. 

Our nature makes us want to know every single detail that God will do to answer our requests. When we do so, we miss a chance to enjoy peace then we destroy ourselves trying to figure God out.

How Now?

Exodus 6:30 But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”

How Now?

Exodus 11:3 (The Lord made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and Moses himself was highly regarded in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.)

I don't know the details of How Moses moved from despising Himself to being honoured in Egypt! But I know God bestowed this honour upon Moses. How Now? God knows

God has proved over and over that He does wonders. When we tell Him what we need, let's focus our energies on believing, trusting and obeying His instructions. The rest, we let God crack those mysterious codes.
