A letter of hope

The book of Joel starts with a vivid description of God's punishment on the Children of Israel for their sins. Draught, desolation, terrible days of pain.

Then a prayer is made to God and in His mercy listens in and remembers them and responds from chapter 2 verses 18 and speaks to them words of hope to heal them and replenish them from their experiences.

I encourage you to read the chapters and find hope again in God and trust in the God of our salvation. God is able to minister to our needs and He is trustworthy.

Let us turn to Him in repentance and humility and faith in whatever situations we are in and wait on Him.

Joel 2:18-19
18 Then the Lord was jealous for his land
    and took pity on his people.

19 The Lord replied[a] to them:

“I am sending you grain, new wine and olive oil,
    enough to satisfy you fully;
never again will I make you
    an object of scorn to the nations.
