Rev 2:1-7 Is a letter to the church in Ephesus. A church that seems to be doing all the right things but one; Loving God as they did when they first believed.
Rev 2:4-5 (4) Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. (5) Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lamp stand from its place.
I can be very busy doing everything that is great and miss the main thing.
I can be very busy doing the right thing that I forget the critical thing; my love for God.
Loving God complements the rest of my tasks.
God says that I should repent and come back to the first love.
1. Consider how far you have fallen
2. Repent
God, reveal to me and rebuke me in the places I have fallen. Amen
Psalms 2:8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
