God given vision

Have a vision that will outlive you

Hab 2:2-3 2.Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald[a] may run with it. 3.For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it[b] will certainly come and will not delay.

Have a vision, Write it down, Those after me will run with it

Hab 3:17-19 17.Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18.yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19.The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.

It may not look like anything is happening but find joy in God.Praise God

Hab 2:3 God reminds us that although it may take a while to see some things He has laid in our hearts, it will come to pass.Wait for it

Our attitude while waiting is supposed to be one of joy. Hab 3:18

Hab 3:19 reminds us God is our strength.

When we wait, it is work. Waiting is not idling, it is work.
All our being fight with the natural desire to stop rejoicing and start complaining.

Hab 3:19 reminds us that our strength to wait, to rejoice in God and to see the vision (Hab 2:4), is in God

Our strength is in the most High God
  1. He makes our feet like the feet of a deer
  2. He makes us to tread on heights
God's strength gives us supernatural and extraordinary abilities.

Prov 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Col 3:23-24 23.And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24.Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Whatever I do, should be with all my heart as though doing it for God.

He holds the rewards
